Russian Hill Bookstore is a general used and new bookshop. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we can always try to order it for you. If you have books to sell, we have a buyer on-sight five days a week and offer cash or trade.

Our Humanities and Sciences section contains Science, Natural Science, Psychology, and Philosophy. We also have a large selection of Metaphysics/Occult ephemera and books, as well as religion.
All your classic authors and poets are here! We have them new, or second-hand, as well as first editions, and/or signed editions. There is also a section for new releases and current best sellers.
We carry a large selection of Sci-fi/Fantasy, Mystery and Thriller novels in our Genre Room. Here you will also find graphic novels and single-issue comic books, as well as vintage children’s books, vintage pulp paperbacks. The Genre Room is also home to our Design, Mythology, Ephemera, pulp paperbacks, Film and Drama sections.
We have a tremendous Art and Photography section! A short, but incomplete list: artist’s monographs, fashion, architecture, African art, Asian art, sculpture, photography, art technique, textiles, art history & theory, ephemera, compendiums, graphic art/design, interior design, tattoos, and more.
We carry an assortment of cookbooks from new releases to vintage publications. Our selection ranges from Wine, Baking, Fish/Meats, Preserves, to International Cooking.
Our children’s book section features stories new and old, from award-winners to newcomers. We have board books, picture books, early readers, and chapter books that will delight anyone!
We have a large collection of classic sheet music and songbooks, including many from the 20’s though the 50’s as well as scores from musicals and movies.
From Shakespeare to The Beastie Boys, you’ll find an array of books on Dance, Ballet, Film, Music, Opera, and Drama in our store.
We also host a large collection of Freemasonry, magic, tarot decks, foreign language dictionaries, vintage photos, gardening, transportation, and more. You never know what you’ll find at a used bookstore!
