Our children’s book section features stories new and old, from award-winners to newcomers. We have board books, picture books, early readers, and chapter books that will delight anyone!
Mixed in with the books you will find an extensive selection of creative and educational toys, games, puzzles, and activity sets for children. Waiting to be discovered are heirloom quality porcelain tea sets, musical treasure boxes, and vintage favorites. Want something a little softer around the edges? Texturally exciting plush and soft toys based on classic children’s book characters are waiting for you.
We believe in having fun while learning, so we focus games that teach through imaginative play and creative story-telling. We also carry a variety of puzzles for all ages, ranging from 12 to 200 pieces for younger assemblers in the children’s room and 300 to 1000 pieces in the board game corner.
Young Adult Books, from Classics to Contemporary, new and used, antiquarian, collectibles and vintage editions. Upon our shelves will be found the classics from R.L. Stevenson, Roald Dahl, C.S. Lewis, E.B. White, George MacDonald, &c. … a bridge from the past toward such contemporary series as Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and the Earthsea Chronicles.
Creative expression is always encouraged, and our Arts & Crafts section is where you’ll find the tools you need. We feature everything from art essentials like crayons and drawing pads, to guided coloring and activity books, all-inclusive craft kits, origami paper and instruction books, and a variety of stamp sets and stickers.
Here you will find reprints of vintage books and titles, including Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Tin Tin, Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Mother Goose, fables and fairy tales. For the collector we have early, first, and illustrated editions of Golden books, Big-Little books, Scribner Classics, 19th and early 20th century titles.
